Does this service cost anything?

No.  The automatic e-mail reminders are free as a community service of the Moores UCSD Cancer Center


What does a reminder message look like?

The automatic e-mail messages are simple and to the point:

To: <your email address>
Subj: Monthly BSE reminder!
Message:
It's time to do your monthly breast self-exam!  
Wishing you the best of health!

Is my e-mail address going to be used for any purpose other than sending me BSE and mammogram reminders?

No.  The Moores UCSD Cancer Center respects your privacy and pledges not to use your e-mail address in any kind of marketing effort.   We will also not give your e-mail address to any other person or organization.


What if I want to stop the service?

Simply return to the Breast Health Reminder home page, enter your e-mail address, and leave the Self Exam and Mammogram boxes unchecked.  You will receive an immediate confirmation message and no further reminders will be sent.

Why is the Moores UCSD Cancer Center doing this?

The Moores UCSD Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute designated Clinical Cancer Center with a mission to improve the health of all by programs of prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment.  The Center receives funding support from the federal government to do the greatest good for the largest number of people it can serve.
